Back to Switzerland

Before starting this flight I joined the Aegean Miles & Bonus loyalty program being the easiest one to gain status. And yes, the flights to Mexico were just enough to gain Star Silver.

United does admit silver status by gaining you premier access. This includes a separate line to drop the bags and faster boarding. But also you preferred to move to the front row seats. And after asking at check-in for a better seat I was directly moved to premium economy. This was perfect for this 3.30h flight.

The flight passed quite well. On the first flight one of the cabin members was somewhat unfriendly and we came in somewhat late in Cleveland. But the airport is quit relaxed and formalities were completed within minutes. So it was no problem to reach my connection.

On the second flight I was highly impressed by the professionalism of the only crew member. The last flight was with Air Canada. The plane was quiet new and the entertainment system is definitely up to standard. What a pity that the flight was only 7 hours. The trip was finished with a train ride back to Zurich.

To conclude Cancun was big fun, the beaches are gorgeous and the food great. I would definitely come back!
